DELHI:Rental brokerage company Proresta.in has ventured into this segment by introducing paying guest (PG) accommodations. The startup has already signed up with 40-50 PGs in Delhi, Gurgaon And offering close to 2,500 beds.

The real estate rental market is a highly localized, relationship-based industry driven largely by individuals living and working in their own cities, causing many to acknowledge the longstanding difficulty of streamlining disruption to this market.Proresta started as simple idea to help people find Rental accommodation. We had always felt that house rentals were a natural augmentation to what we were doing and house rental search had not been solved so far.

Proresta help you find Houses on Rent, Roommates/Flatmates,PG and a marketplace for products and services to set up your house And also have a products and services marketplace which helps people to set up their house when they move in. From packers & movers to rental furniture, buying utensils, getting an internet connection, getting a cook, tiffin services etc. etc. we have everything covered.

A huge section of the Indian population move out of their home cities for work or education and due to the unorganised nature of the space (PG), they find themselves struggling to find decent accommodation for months,” said Abhilash Samota, CEO, Proresta.in

Paying guest and shared accommodations are picking up because rentals in big cities are increasingly becoming unaffordable. This has opened an alternative for startups to enter the highly unorganised nature of the shared accommodation market in India and bring in their expertise of standardizing properties.

“We are targeting to take our PG accommodation to cities that attract a huge migrant population,” Abhilash said, adding that the startup plans to double its inventory under this segment in the next three months.

While it is a huge market, room in pg need to be standardised with quality control of basic requirements such as clean linen, working air-conditioners, tv And Food.

“We are also putting up our own Wi-Fi routers and dividing bandwidth per room across our network. We want consumers to be confident about the quality of accommodation promised on our platform,”

The company is also in the final stages of rolling out its mobile app.

Founded in May 2018, Proresta.in has a presence in over 3 cities and plans to reach 35-40 cities over the next 18 months.

the company is now in talks to raise funding and expects to close it in the coming months.
