DELHI:Rental brokerage company has ventured into this segment by introducing paying guest (PG) accommodations. The startup has already signed up with 40-50 PGs in Delhi, Gurgaon And offering close to 2,500 beds.

Paying guest and shared accommodations are picking up because rentals in big cities are increasingly becoming unaffordable.This has opened an alternative for startups to enter the highly unorganised nature of the shared accommodation market in India and bring in their expertise of standardizing properties.

“We are targeting to take our PG accommodation to cities that attract a huge migrant population,” Abhilash said, adding that the startup plans to double its inventory under this segment in the next three months.

While it is a huge market,room in pg need to be standardised with quality control of basic requirements such as clean linen, working air-conditioners, tv And Food.

“We are also putting up our own Wi-Fi routers and dividing bandwidth per room across our network.We want consumers to be confident about the quality of accommodation promised on our platform,”

The company is also in the final stages of rolling out its mobile app.

Founded in May 2018, has a presence in over 3 cities and plans to reach 35-40 cities over the next 18 months.

the company is now in talks to raise funding and expects to close it in the coming months.
